Said plainly
What it is not.
A box that promises more than it does is worse than no box. So:
The honest list
- It is not shipping yet. This page is an interest list, not an order form.
- It cannot start your service remotely. Our schedule governs our own resources and never reaches out to command an encoder.
- It is not a switcher, a graphics engine or a camera. It carries a feed you already have.
- It is not a replacement for obs-multisite. A venue with a computer can run the software and skip the box.
On the second point: scheduling governs our resources — the event, the watch page, the recording window, the destinations. The Outpost pushes whenever it is told to, by you, in the room. That is a deliberate product and legal posture, not a missing feature.
Where it fits
Two endpoints, one control plane.
Some venues have a computer; some should not need one. Both run from
multisite-cloud and appear in the same dashboard.
